Legal Manager

We are searching for a corporate lawyer at Manager level to assist in all our company’s legal transactions, partnerships, and projects. Your principal goal will be to guarantee that all our company’s transactions comply with state laws and regulations, while actively helping our company avoid possible legal risks and violations.

Other duties will include consulting and leading all corporate legal processes such as compliance issues, transactions, partnerships, and lawsuits. The successful candidate will have outstanding negotiation and communication skills (drafting), with sharp attention to detail.

Job Description:

• Debt management services - Build and manage resolution / recovery infrastructure for retail portfolios.
• Resolution - Monitor the recovery and resolution curve over time and make necessary changes (e.g., increase or decrease the resolution amounts/ tools used) as needed, create standardized resolution schemes that can be offered to borrowers in an automated manner (either a retail resolution platform over time or through call centres and SMSs, etc.)
• Legal / Recovery - Standardize the legal / litigation/ recovery / repossession process, use of right and optimum legal options at the right stage, monitor legal notices and other steps, TATs at each stage, automate movement on the steps to be taken, separation of low probability accounts that can be offloaded to specialized recovery agents on a variable fee model (earlier the better), developing onboarding process, managing legal and other partners involved (local lawyers, repo agents, etc.), performance parameters and management of the partners.

• PMO function -work closely with the PMO for retail, set up protocols, workflows and operationalization of legal steps, TAT etc. Necessary system builds for recovery/ legal and resolution.
• Handling dishonour of cheque/ECS cases, Arbitration matters, SARFAESI proceedings, recovery Suits in civil court/ DRT, execution proceedings, criminal cases, consumer cases etc
• Filing and handling legal matters in various courts including NCLT/NCLAT, High Court
• Monitoring the outsourced agencies to manage the legal activities in the retail portfolio
• Rendering legal advisory on product and regulatory issues
• Drafting, vetting and negotiation of credit, collections, vendor and securitization related documentation for retail portfolio
• 360-degree litigation management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in law, having minimum 3 years of experience in
• Knowledge of Sec 138, Arbitration matters, SARFAESI proceedings
• Filing and handling legal matters in various courts including NCLT/NCLAT, High Court
